Camaraderie Men, women and children, who had come from different parts of the district as well as neighbouring districts, exchanged greetings. A few women were seen preparing food at Mukkombu. Elaborate security arrangements were made by the police for the safety of tourists.
TIRUCHI: A large number of tourists visited Mukkombu, the upper anicut, near here, on the occasion of ‘Kaanum Pongal' on Monday. The amusement park at Mukkombu was the centre of attraction while water gushing in the Cauvery added to the delight of the tourists.
